Having a summer getaway can be a great way to relieve stress, refuel and reinvigorate oneself for life. Going camping is a wonderful escape from everyday routine, removing oneself to an extent from some of the more familiar amenities of home to be out in nature can be relaxing and euphoric. Too often people under prepare for camping, however. Camping as a vacation deserves at least as much care and attention to detail as a planned trip to the beach or a sight-seeing tour.
There are many traditions families follow that are exclusive to their families history, and there are other traditions common throughout society. Although camping is not technically considered a tradition, it has been a common activity enjoyed by people all over the world. It is a time people set aside to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to actively interact with it by engaging in outdoor activities and social events that people look forward to. Sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, eating barbecue, fishing, and sleeping in tents are traditional camping activities for the young and the old. However, un hiking through the woods, kayaking in the Huzzah River, horseback riding in the Ozark Mountain, golfing, fishing in the Meramec River, going on a hayriding tour on the back of a wagon and much more.
